When relocating within Singapore, if you re-apply with iSwitch, there will be a small flat fee charged but don’t worry, the fee will be refunded to you once your new house contract is active. So essentially, you incur no charges for relocation!

    -Please note that your Preferred Transfer Out Date should be 5 days before your termination date for SP Utility account.
    -A refundable small flat fee will be charged for the relocation/expatriation
    -The maximum upload file size is 4MB. If it is more convenient, please feel free to take a photo of the front page of your tenancy agreement and upload it.

    A Few Common Questions

    What should I do if I’m moving house within Singapore?

    If you move house within Singapore, please follow the below steps:

    -Submit the form above to end your current contract. Your account will be transferred to SP Group based on the preferred transfer out date, so long as it meets the minimum 5 workings days.

    -Open a new SP Group Utilities account for your new house online here. Please ensure that your electricity account is activated by SP Group before you re-apply with iSwitch.

    -Re-apply for your new plan with iSwitch via this link. After you sign up, your contract with iSwitch will start based on your preferred start date.

    Tip: Don’t forget to re-apply with City Gas for your gas account opening by clicking here.

    What about if I am relocating out of Singapore?

    For Relocation or Expatriation during your contract with iSwitch, please follow the below steps:

    -Submit the form above to end your current contract.

    -We will charge a lower fixed nominal Relocation/Expatriation Fee (before GST).

    -Safe travels, we will take care of the rest.

    Are there any fees for moving house?

    When relocating within Singapore, if you re-apply with iSwitch, there will only be a lower fixed nominal Relocation/Expatriation Fee (before GST) charged but don’t worry, this fee will be refunded to you once your new house contract is active. So essentially, you incur no charges for relocation!

    The Relocation/Expatriation Fee (before GST) that is based on your dwelling type as per below:

    HDB 1-2 room: $60
    HDB 3-5 room & executive: $130
    Condominium & Private apartment: $180
    Landed: Terrace & Semi D: $350
    Bungalow: $720

    Ad-hoc charges charged by SP Group (e.g. SP Group account closure charges) to be borne by the customer.

    Can my contract be transferred to a new house?

    The contract cannot be transferred to your new house. You will need to end the contract and open a new account with SP Group.

    Can my contract be transferred to a new tenant of my house?

    The existing account must be closed and the new occupant of the premise is required to apply to sign up on behalf of their own account. A refundable Relocation/Expatriation Fee is applicable depending on your contract and dwelling type.

    After submitting the form when will my account be transferred?

    Upon receiving your request, the electricity account will be transferred to SP Group based on preferred transfer out date, so long as it meets the minimum 5 workings days.

    When will I receive the refund?

    Once we receive your new house application, the Relocation/Expatriation Fee that you paid will be refunded to you via cheque. Do let us know your new mailing address!

    What if I am moving house a few months later?

    We allow up to 6 months (from the termination date of your previous house) for you to re-apply with iSwitch for your new house and still enjoy the refund of the Relocation/Expatriation Fee.

    How much notice period do I need to provide?

    We recommend submitting your details via the form 30 days prior to moving house.

    If I know I am moving in a few months can I still sign up?

    We do offer different contract periods of 12, 24 and 36 months to suit your lifestyle. But if you plan to move during the first few months of your contract, you can sign up and enjoy our flexible relocation terms.
